The <GCV> interface provides all the normal functions of the currently installed GE interface with regards to the CIMPLICITY Operator graphical displays only.
This product offering is utilized when a client needs only an Operator interface and without a direct connection to the MkIV* or MkV GE Speedtronic™ turbine control panel system. This viewer is normally connected over Ethernet TCP/IP protocol to a <GCS> or <GCL>.
The <GCV> allows the customer to manage his or her screens at the server (<GCS>) level and if any changes are made to the server, graphics will automatically update the viewer by only cycling the viewer On & Off. It is not a full engineering workstation that is capable of normal GE <HMI> server functions and does not provide any Historian capabilities.
The <GCV> can be used to consolidate multiple on-site OEM devices (Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) into one system application with a common look and feel if used in conjunction with the <GCS> product.
